July 15, 2009 – Cibola General Hospital is expanding the staff of medical providers in the Cibola Family Health Center. Charles O. Onyeama, MD has recently joined the Health Center. With the addition of Dr. Onyeama, comprehensive pediatric services are now available in Cibola County.

Dr. Onyeama has an impressive professional and educational background. He comes to Grants following his pediatric residency at Sinai Children’s Hospital/Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, a specialty hospital serving over 72,000 children a year. Dr. Onyeama has written seven research publications in various pediatric journals. He also belongs to the American Academy of Pediatrics, Nigerian Medical Association, and is a Fellow of Royal Society of Tropical Medicine in the United Kingdom.
