Food Service
The registered dieticians at Cibola General Hospital help patients meet their nutritional goals by assessing and evaluating diet plans and explaining any necessary dietary changes. Under the supervision of the Food Service department, patients, visitors and hospital employees enjoy balanced and nutritional meals. Patients benefit from meal plans that take into account their medical conditions and personal needs.
The Food Service staff recommends a diet low in saturated fat and cholesterol, with moderate use of sugar and salt and a minimum of five servings of fruits and vegetables each day. Eating right – and especially eating a lot of fruits and vegetables – may help boost your body’s immune system and prevent heart disease, cancer and various other illnesses. |
