Employees are eligible to receive benefits on the first day of the month following 60 days of employment. Eligible employees are full-time employees who work at least 30 hours per week, and part-time employees who work at least 20 hours per week.
Paid Time Off
We offer a very generous Paid Time Off (PTO) package that combines vacation, sick and holiday leave under one combined "bank" of time. Annual accrual of PTO is based on hours of service.
The Hospital is presently contracted with Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Delta Dental, Vision Services Plan and Dearborn life insurance. We have two plans to choose from - a PPO plan with $1,000 individual deductible or a HSA plan with a $3,000 deductible and savings account. Employees pay 5, 10, or 15% of the premiums depending on their salary bracket. Vision and Dental are free for staff.
The hospital has annual employee health fair, screenings, and a year-round Wellness Program and committee to help staff stay motivated to improve health and meet their goals.
Retirement Savings Plan [403(b)]
Employees may participate in the 403(b) program with VALIC. After 12 months employment, the hospital matches a generous 50%, up to the IRS limits.
Membership in Rio Grande Credit Union is available.
Tuition Reimbursement/Continuing Education
Following six months of employment, tuition reimbursement is available for full-time employees who want to advance or develop their career opportunities within the hospital.
Scholarship Loan Forgiveness
The purpose of the scholarship loan forgiveness program is to encourage recruitment and retention of healthcare professionals to provide healthcare services to our community. The number of scholarship loans may vary from year to year.
Employee Assistance Program
The EAP is a free, professional and confidential counseling program designed to assist employees with anything they perceive to be a problem. The benefit is pre-paid by Cibola General and is free to employees and their immediate family members living in the same household.
